TagMango, a creator monetization platform co-founded by Divyanshu Damani, has quickly emerged as one of India’s top platforms helping creators build and monetize their course businesses. Divyanshu’s own journey as a content creator showed him the frustrations of limited monetization tools, inspiring him to build TagMango as a creator-first, India-focused platform.
Divyanshu started as a creator with thousands of followers but found it difficult to earn a steady income while engaging with his audience.
This led him and co-founder Mohammad Hasan to launch TagMango in 2019 with the goal of empowering creators to sell subscriptions, workshops, courses, and exclusive memberships directly to their communities.
Their approach was ahead of the curve, building India’s first creator platform with support for local payment methods like UPI, easy course-building tools, and community engagement features such as gamified learning and live upsell during workshops.
Unlike global platforms, TagMango focuses on Indian creators’ unique needs, including multiple monetization models (one-time payments, subscriptions, cohorts), seamless payment integration for Indian users, and robust analytics to help creators understand and retain students.
The platform has onboarded over 3,000 creators organically, including big names like Dhruv Rathee (Ai Fiesta), Ranveer Allahbadia (BeerBiceps SkillHouse), Neha Nagar, Shwetabh Gangwar, Prakhar Gupta, Tech Burner (BrightSo), and many others who use TagMango to scale their course businesses.
Backed by Y Combinator and raising ₹5.5 crore in seed funding, TagMango generated over ₹300 crore in creator earnings in its first few years, impacting more than 3.2 million students. Divyanshu, listed in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia, has become a voice for the creator economy, emphasizing community, entrepreneurship, and
TagMango is more than a course platform, it’s a full ecosystem where creators can launch products, engage communities, personalize learning, and grow their brand all in one place. As digital education booms, platforms like TagMango differentiate by understanding India’s evolving market better than ever.
Divyanshu Damani’s story, from creator struggles to tech entrepreneur, is a powerful example of Indian innovation driving the creator economy forward, enabling thousands to turn their passions into lasting businesses.
