Ujjwal Chaurasia, the New Delhi-based gaming sensation known online as Techno Gamerz, made digital history on Tuesday by becoming the first individual gaming creator from Asia to surpass 50 million subscribers on a single YouTube channel.
The 24-year-old content creator reached the landmark milestone following years of consistent growth driven by his story-based gameplay series and unique Hindi commentary.
This achievement solidifies his position as the most subscribed individual gaming personality across the continent, surpassing competitors in the lifestyle and entertainment sectors as well.
The journey for the digital star began under humble circumstances in 2017 while he was still a student in Class 11.
Chaurasia originally utilized his elder brother’s smartphone to record and upload mobile gaming tutorials because he did not own a personal device at the time.
His early success on the platform was fueled by a distinct narrative style where he created original storylines using mods within popular titles like Grand Theft Auto V.
Managed by the influencer marketing agency OpraahFX, Chaurasia has expanded his digital footprint far beyond simple gameplay.
He currently operates four distinct channels with a combined following of over 70 million subscribers and approximately 16 billion total views.
His content strategy focuses on long-form series that encourage high viewer retention, which has helped him maintain a consistent engagement rate of over 3%.
In addition to his YouTube dominance, Chaurasia has successfully bridged the gap between gaming and mainstream media. He is recognised as a Red Bull India athlete and has secured high-profile brand partnerships with global technology firms, including Nvidia and Asus.
The creator’s rise coincides with a massive surge in the Indian gaming market, which industry analysts expect to grow to $9.2 billion by 2029.
Despite his massive scale, Techno Gamerz continues to produce content every two to three days, maintaining the family-friendly persona that first helped him gain 100,000 subscribers within two years of his channel’s launch.
