From Podcaster To Business Mentor: Ranveer Allahbadia Reveals Major Brand Shift

Popular podcaster, digital entrepreneur, and YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia announced a significant pivot in his content strategy this week, moving away from his primary identity as a podcast host to focus on youth mentorship and entrepreneurship.

In a personal video update titled “Ab Bas. Bohot Ho Gaya,” the creator addressed a turbulent year marked by intense public scrutiny following his appearance on the controversial comedy show “India’s Got Latent.”

Allahbadia, who manages a digital empire with over 20 million subscribers across multiple channels, stated that he is launching a new series designed to provide “online mentoring” to Indian youth.

The announcement comes after months of viral backlash and legal complications stemming from a February 2025 episode of “India’s Got Latent,” a reality-style comedy show hosted by Samay Raina.

During the segment, Allahbadia made remarks that were widely criticized as obscene, leading to multiple police complaints and discussions regarding digital decency laws.

Addressing rumours that his career was “fading away,” Allahbadia clarified that while the public largely views him as a media personality, he considers himself an entrepreneur first and a creator second.

He noted that he has spent the last 10 years building various businesses, including the talent management firm Monk Entertainment and the fitness app Level.

The creator’s new direction will prioritize long-form educational content over the guest-driven interview format that defined his recent years.

Allahbadia explained that he intends to simplify complex topics such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and self-improvement to help viewers avoid “intellectual obesity,” a term he used to describe the passive consumption of information without practical application.

To support this mission, he highlighted his startup SkillHouse, which offers courses in digital skills like video editing and podcasting to help young Indians become more employable in the modern creator economy.

The shift also includes a move toward more offline engagement, with Allahbadia promising a series of community events across India over the next four years.

He revealed that a documentary is currently in production that will provide a more transparent look at the recent controversies and his personal “mental fitness” journey.

Despite the professional setbacks of the past year, he emphasized that he is currently in a “peaceful warrior zone” and views his decade-long career as only the first 20% of his planned journey in the Indian business landscape.

Allahbadia first rose to prominence in 2015 as a fitness and cooking vlogger before evolving into one of India’s most influential podcasters. His production house now oversees multiple channels and business interests that extend well beyond YouTube ad revenue.

By shifting his focus toward mentorship and job creation, Allahbadia aims to distance his brand from recent “negative PR” and reposition himself as a foundational figure in India’s burgeoning creator-led education sector.
