Dr. Gaurav Garg, the visionary co-founder of StudyIQ Education, has hit a remarkable milestone, 20 million subscribers on YouTube and a decade of transforming India’s learning landscape. What started as a small offline setup in a Delhi room in 2015 has now become one of the country’s most trusted and widely followed education platforms for UPSC, banking, and government exam aspirants.

Few know that before becoming one of India’s most recognized educators, Dr. Gaurav Garg was a practising dentist. His career took an unexpected turn when his passion for teaching and social change led him to leave behind dentistry for education.

With a Master’s in Mass Communication from MICA Ahmedabad and experience working with TIME, Garg was deeply aware of the inequalities that kept quality education out of reach for millions. That awareness became his mission and the birth of StudyIQ.

When StudyIQ began, it was an offline classroom setup in Delhi. But as India’s education system shifted online, Garg adapted quickly, moving the platform to YouTube in 2015.

The result was revolutionary: suddenly, students from small towns and remote villages could access reliable, affordable content that once required expensive coaching.

By 2025, StudyIQ had become a pan-India learning ecosystem, reaching every corner of the country. From aspirants preparing for UPSC and SSC to those taking state-level or banking exams, the platform became a daily companion for lakhs of students chasing their dreams.

In his recent LinkedIn post celebrating the 20M milestone, Garg reflected on StudyIQ’s evolution with humility and gratitude. He credited the platform’s success to three values: relevance, integrity, and evolution. “Knowledge alone doesn’t build credibility,” he wrote, “integrity and continuous evolution do.”

But with scale came challenges. Some users have pointed out delays in module updates or content schedules, especially in GK and banking courses. What sets Garg apart, however, is his transparency and openness to criticism.

On LinkedIn and Telegram, he often responds directly to students, acknowledging feedback and promising steady improvements to ensure timely, high-quality content.

In 2022, StudyIQ was acquired by Adda247, one of India’s top edtech companies. Many expected the founders to move on soon after, as is common in startup culture.

Instead, Garg surprised everyone by signing a long-term contract extending to 2030, committing to continue leading StudyIQ’s vision and innovation.

He emphasised that his partnership with Adda247 CEO Anil Nagar was built on shared values, expanding affordable education, maintaining authenticity, and reaching learners who rely on credible content over marketing hype. This continuity has reassured millions of students that the StudyIQ they trust will remain student-first.

Under Garg’s leadership, StudyIQ has evolved into a symbol of aspiration and access. The comment sections under his milestone post are filled with stories from students who cleared exams, secured government jobs, or reignited their motivation because of StudyIQ’s videos.

For many, his calm teaching style and in-depth current affairs explainers became more than lessons; they were lifelines.

At the same time, Garg continues to push for higher standards. He publicly encourages students to voice their concerns and has promised greater punctuality in future content drops. “Every message, good or bad, helps us grow,” he often says.

Factually, StudyIQ’s growth story is unprecedented. Verified by YouTube analytics and Garg’s official announcements, the platform now stands at 20 million subscribers, reaching learners in every Indian state. His transformation from a dentist to one of India’s leading education entrepreneurs is a story of grit, adaptability, and purpose.

As StudyIQ enters its next decade, Dr. Gaurav Garg remains its steady voice and driving force, someone who believes that education should not depend on where a student lives, but on how deeply they wish to learn.

With 20 million learners and counting, his message is clear: true success lies not in scale, but in the difference you make in someone’s life.
