Prajakta Koli Reveals Mismatched Season 4 Hopes and Upcoming Amazon Prime Series

Prominent digital creator and actor Prajakta Koli, widely known by her YouTube handle MostlySane, shared insights into the potential fourth season of her hit Netflix series Mismatched and her transition from social media to mainstream cinema during a recent session at the 1 Billion Followers Summit.

Koli, who rose to fame as one of India’s earliest female comedy creators, noted that while a fourth season is yet to be officially greenlit, the global data for the show remains strong after it trended in 19 countries.

She also confirmed that she has already completed filming for a new series scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video.

The 32-year-old creator addressed the criticism that often follows digital stars when they expand into multiple creative fields such as acting or writing.

Koli argued that the evolution of an artist should not be met with resistance, explaining that the digital economy has removed traditional gatekeeping and allowed creators to experiment across different mediums.

She emphasized that her audience serves as both her support system and a source of constructive criticism that aids her growth as a performer.

Reflecting on her journey to Bollywood, Koli described working with major production houses like Dharma Productions, a premier Indian film studio, as a dream she never expected to realize when she first began making videos.

She credited the 2016 “digital boom” in India, triggered by the arrival of affordable high-speed internet, for expanding the reach of her content into smaller towns and making creators viable for large-scale movie collaborations.

Beyond the screen, Koli is set to release her debut romance novel titled Too Good to Be True, a project born from her late-found passion for reading romance fiction.

Prajakta Koli first launched her YouTube channel in 2015 and has since amassed over 7 million subscribers, becoming a pivotal figure in the Indian creator economy.

Known for her relatable middle-class observational comedy, she successfully transitioned to acting with the Netflix series Mismatched and her Bollywood debut in the film Jugjugg Jeeyo.
