Bansi Bishnoi, an Indian travel vlogger and content creator who has journeyed across 65 countries, publicly disclosed his monthly digital revenue and showed off his newly built production studio in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, offering aspiring creators an inside look at full-time creator economics.
The disclosure marks a major milestone for Bishnoi, who left a 13-year career working in a steel manufacturing factory to pursue content creation on a full-time basis.
Bishnoi revealed on camera that his primary YouTube channel generates between 3,000 dollars and 3,500 dollars every month through the YouTube Partner Program, translating to roughly 2.5 lakh to three lakh rupees in gross ad revenue.
The dashboard figures displayed in his video confirmed a peak monthly income of 3,761 dollars in September, alongside earnings of 3,045 dollars in August and 2,838 dollars in July.
Beyond Google AdSense, Bishnoi explained that his total digital earnings frequently cross 5,000 dollars each month, or around five to six lakh rupees.
A substantial share of that extra revenue originates from Meta’s video monetisation across his four dedicated Facebook pages, where his collective audience exceeds seven million followers.
Despite the strong top-line numbers, Bishnoi cautioned aspiring digital creators against assuming that platform payouts equal pure profit.
He pointed out that international logistics, airline tickets, visa documentation, and gear upgrades consume a considerable portion of his revenue before personal margins are calculated.
Creator infrastructure also demands continuous capital expenditure, according to Bishnoi. Alongside hardware expenses such as upgrading smartphones, action cameras, and wireless microphone transmitters, Bishnoi invested heavily in building a dedicated, soundproof production studio to handle content editing and upcoming podcast projects.
The studio space features custom acoustic insulation panels, modular backdrops for multi-angle shooting, dedicated computer stations for his team, and an interactive digital whiteboard. B
ishnoi noted that managing multiple video formats requires delegating tasks to dedicated video editors rather than handling every workflow alone.
Reflecting on his YouTube journey, Bansi Bishnoi shared that he began working in an industrial factory in 2007 with a starting wage of 3,000 rupees a month. He launched his YouTube channel part-time in late 2017, collecting his initial payout of approximately 10,000 rupees in mid-2018.
He continued working at his factory job until 2021, eventually saving an emergency fund of three lakh rupees before resigning from his managerial role to pursue budget backpacking and vlogging full-time.
His breakthrough came after a budget hitchhiking expedition from Ahmedabad to Nepal gained traction online, validating his transition to full-time production.
Bansi Bishnoi, who originally hails from Rajasthan, now commands more than 1.25 million subscribers and nearly 300 million lifetime views on his self-titled YouTube channel. His catalogue spans budget transit guides, cultural expeditions, and cross-border overland journeys across Asia, Europe, and Africa.
