Prominent creator economy analysts and filmmakers Colin Rosenblum and Samir Chaudry, best known as the duo behind The Colin and Samir Show, have teamed up with Adobe to launch a 25,000 dollar creative grant called the Big Idea Fund.
Announced on their dedicated advice channel, Creator Support, the initiative aims to provide one emerging video creator with the financial runway needed to bring an ambitious content project to life.
The winner will receive the prize money and an all-expenses-paid trip to Los Angeles to workshop their concept on the season finale of the series.
The move comes alongside a broader presenting sponsorship deal with Adobe, allowing Creator Support to shift from an occasional format to a weekly publishing schedule for the next eight weeks.
The duo filmed the current season on location at an outdoor retreat in Montana, leveraging the brand partnership to scale up production resources.
To enter the contest, creators must use Adobe creative tools to produce a pitch video outlining their project and explaining how the 25,000 dollar budget would be deployed.
Explaining the motivation behind the fund, Chaudry recalled the duo’s early financial struggles in 2019 after nearly a decade of uploading videos without an established business model.
He noted that a single sponsorship check arrived just as they contemplated quitting, providing the financial runway to pursue digital video full-time.
Colin and Samir started their digital careers producing sports content on The Lacrosse Network before pivoting to cover the business mechanics of online influence.
Across their primary channel, which commands more than 1.6 million subscribers, and their creator-focused newsletter The Publish Press, the duo has become a prominent journalistic and educational hub for digital creators.
