Ankur Warikoo, an entrepreneur-turned-content creator who is now also a bestselling author, admitted that he does not write his books. Instead, he hires ghostwriters with whom he shares the content and they structure and craft them into a book.
Ghostwriters are professional writers who write for someone else without taking credit for the work. This means they are hired to write content that is officially credited to the person who hires them.
The first book of Warikoo, Do Epic Shit is written by one such ghostwriter named Nishtha Gehija. She shared this in a LinkedIn post describing how she wrote it in less than 3 months.

As the post got some impressions, many hate comments poured in for Ankur Warikoo. The ghostwriter also got questions to have disclosed his name.
Gehija, on her ghostwriting service, replied to some comments that she has been mentioned in the acknowledgement section of the book already.
She said, “I have never disclosed the name of any other client, out of all the books I have ghostwritten. I respect their privacy. But for the books I get a mention in, I would be a fool if I don’t write about it.“
Warikoo also commented on the post admitting that Gehija has written his first book. He also revealed that his third book, Make Epic Money, was written by someone else — Elaine and Anabelle Colaco.
Infact, here is a prediction – all the books that I release will be written by someone else.

He also explained how ghostwriting works and how his first book was written. Do Epic Shit is a curation of 1000s of videos, blog posts, and notes from Warikoo which was structured and crafted into a book by the ghostwriter.
Ghostwriting is a full-fledged service business used by many people to write their books, mostly by famous people, who have an idea and distribution but don’t have time or the calibre to put their thoughts into a literary form.
With the rise of content creators and influencers releasing their books, this might be true for them also to be using ghostwriting.
