Rupesh Sinha Tech YouTuber Sillycorns

Rupesh Sinha, once the familiar face of Beebom’s video team, is now writing a new chapter in Indian tech content with his independent venture, Sillycorns Media.

In just over a year since leaving Beebom, his channel has grown into a viral tech hub known for blending humor, honesty, and gadget expertise, earning him a loyal following among Gen Z and millennial audiences across the country.

Rupesh Sinha’s career began in Bengaluru as a tech blogger, contributing to Techgyo and Gadgetnote before becoming Chief Editor at InstallorNot. His big break came in 2015 when he joined Beebom, one of India’s leading tech YouTube platforms.

At Beebom, he became the Director of Videos and the on-screen host for hundreds of gadget reviews, explainers, and show launches.

Over nearly a decade, Sinha built credibility and became one of the most recognisable faces in Indian tech media—until he announced his exit in January 2024.

Just a month later, in February 2024, Sinha launched Sillycorns Media, promising “Tech Vibes Only”—a refreshing break from over-produced, sponsored-heavy content.

Instead of sticking to the standard unboxing formula, Sillycorns mixes honest reviews with practical buying advice, comedy sketches and parodies about tech, Bollywood, and social media, and relatable comparisons that simplify confusing specs.

The format resonated instantly. By mid-2025, Sillycorns had crossed 567K YouTube subscribers and 287K Instagram followers, with shorts and sketches frequently going viral. The content feels young, community-driven, and fun, making tech more approachable for all audiences.

Sillycorns Media has quickly positioned itself as a rising force in India’s digital media space.

Backed by a young creator-led team, Sinha ensures Sillycorns balances entertainment with useful tech insights.

Sinha’s decision to leave Beebom wasn’t about numbers; it was about creative freedom. Over time, large-scale tech media often face constraints from sponsorship deals and corporate demands. For Sinha, that meant limited space to experiment or connect directly with viewers.

With Sillycorns, he’s free to call out confusing specs, share unbiased buying advice, and experiment with content formats without corporate pressure.

Fans and tech communities on Reddit and forums have praised Sillycorns as being more “real” and audience-first compared to legacy media outlets.

Rupesh Sinha’s journey is proof that independent creators can redefine an entire space. From being the polished face of Beebom to leading his own quirky, transparent channel, he has shown that audiences value honesty and relatability as much as expertise.

By mixing comedy with credibility, Sillycorns is not just a tech channel; it’s a community where fans feel seen, entertained, and informed. And at its heart is Sinha’s belief that tech should always be about real conversations, not just specs and sponsors.
