Bhuvan Bam breaks the internet with Dhindora Season 2 Netflix announcement

Pioneering Indian digital creator and actor Bhuvan Bam, known to millions for his YouTube channel BB Ki Vines, officially announced that the second season of his hit web series Dhindora will premiere exclusively on Netflix.

The announcement marks a significant shift for Bam, who self-released the first season of the show on his own YouTube channel in 2021 to record-breaking viewership.

By partnering with the global streaming giant, Bhuvan Bam becomes one of the few independent Indian creators to successfully transition a self-funded intellectual property into a major platform original.

The news was revealed through a comedic sketch featuring Bam’s popular character Titu Mama, who confirmed that the new season would be backed by Netflix’s production capabilities.

While the first season followed the chaotic aftermath of a middle-class family winning a lottery, the upcoming sequel promises to expand the universe of characters, all played by Bam himself.

The move to a subscription video-on-demand platform represents a growing trend in the creator economy where top-tier talent leverages their massive social media followings to secure traditional media deals.

For aspiring creators, this path highlights the potential of building a loyal audience on free platforms before migrating content to premium services to increase production value and global reach.

Bhuvan Bam first rose to fame in 2015 as the first Indian individual YouTube creator to cross 10 million subscribers by filming satirical videos using his phone’s front camera.

His channel, BB Ki Vines, currently boasts over 26 million subscribers and features a distinct “multiverse” of characters inspired by his life in Delhi.

The first season of Dhindora was a landmark project for the Indian creator community, garnering nearly half a billion views across its eight episodes.

By moving the property to Netflix, Bam follows in the footsteps of international creators who have used digital success to pivot into mainstream cinema and high-budget streaming television.

The partnership suggests a strengthening relationship between Netflix India and local digital talent as the platform seeks to capture the massive audience base of the country’s most influential social media stars.

Details regarding the specific release date and plot of the second season have not yet been disclosed by the creator or the streaming service.
