How Rishabh Jain Built a Finance Media Empire From Jaipur Without Following the Billions

Popular finance content creator and entrepreneur Rishabh Jain, co-founder of the influential YouTube channel Labour Law Advisor (LLA), revealed that affiliate marketing accounts for nearly 50% of his company’s total revenue.

Speaking in a recent podcast, Jain explained that while brand deals and physical products are significant, the recurring nature of long-term affiliate partnerships provides a stable foundation for his Jaipur-based operations.

The creator, who has spent nearly a decade building his audience, also announced the launch of a first-of-its-kind investment fund specifically designed for creators and founders in India.

Affiliate marketing is a performance-based revenue model where a creator earns a commission for every sale or sign-up generated through their unique link.

Jain noted that in the finance niche, these commissions can build up over several years, creating a sustainable income stream that remains even if views fluctuate.

Unlike one-time brand sponsorships, these partnerships allow creators to earn from the lifetime value of a customer they referred to a brand.

To maximize these earnings, Jain uses a strategy he calls reducing friction for the audience. This includes using custom, easy-to-remember domain names like LLA.in and creating short URLs for specific products.

He also utilizes QR codes for viewers watching on television screens and missed-call numbers for those who prefer offline interaction.

Jain emphasized that for an affiliate model to work, the creator must provide a genuine offer, such as waived opening fees or exclusive discounts, to incentivize the audience to use their specific link.

The veteran creator also shared a notable success story regarding a brand called Solar Square, a solar energy provider. After cold-calling the founder, Jain created a video explaining the financial benefits of solar energy.

That single piece of content reportedly generated 8 crore in orders for the brand, demonstrating the high conversion potential of trust-based creator marketing.

He uses a standard benchmark for long-form educational content, charging approximately 1.5 to 5 rupees per view (Cost Per View or CPV) for sponsored segments.

Beyond content and marketing, Jain is expanding into the financial sector by launching a creator-founder-led investment fund. This fund will allow successful digital entrepreneurs to pool their capital and knowledge to support early-stage startups.

Unlike traditional venture capital, this fund prioritizes investors who bring a distribution network (a large, engaged audience) or specific industry expertise to the table.

Despite managing multiple business lines, including physical journals and a tea premix brand, Jain maintains a lean team of 20 people in Jaipur.

He credited his high team retention—some members have stayed for nearly 10 years—to a culture of creative freedom and competitive local salaries.

He explained that in a smaller city like Jaipur, providing top-tier compensation allows talent to stay near family while working on world-class projects.

Jain concluded with a warning for new creators to avoid the trap of “get-rich-quick” schemes and “scam creators” who prioritize money over audience value.

He insisted that long-term success in the creator economy requires being authentic and only promoting products that the creator personally uses or would recommend to their own family.

Rishabh Jain is the co-founder of Labour Law Advisor, a channel with millions of subscribers that simplifies complex financial regulations for the Indian public.

He has transitioned from a pure content creator to a diversified entrepreneur with interests in fintech (financial technology), FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods), and digital education.
