Finzar Reveals Lifetime YouTube Earnings and Revenue Strategy

Popular video editing educator Finzar revealed he earned a lifetime total of 63,375 pounds, around $84,000, from YouTube AdSense revenue after accumulating more than 32 million views over six years.

The United Kingdom-based creator, known for his high-energy Premiere Pro tutorials and filmmaking challenges, detailed his financial journey from 2020 through 2025 to provide a reality check for aspiring influencers.

Speaking in his latest data-heavy upload, the creator emphasized that while these figures appear substantial, AdSense alone is rarely sustainable for creators managing high production costs and support staff.

Finzar, whose real name is Fin, explained that his journey began with a modest 30 pence on his first day of monetization.

He noted that his pivot from gaming content to editing-focused tutorials was the primary driver of his financial growth, as the educational niche often commands a higher RPM.

His most lucrative upload, a tutorial on how to edit gaming videos, generated significant income due to its evergreen nature, meaning it remains relevant and continues to attract searches and views years after being posted.

In contrast, a comedy sketch with over 500,000 views earned significantly less because shorter videos and entertainment-only content typically attract lower-value advertisements.

The creator also stressed the importance of “packaging,” which refers to the combination of a video’s title and thumbnail.

He shared a case study of a “dead” video that saw a massive resurgence in views and revenue after he simply updated the thumbnail to be more clickable.

This strategy helped him reach a peak annual AdSense income of over 15,000 pounds in 2024, though he noted that earnings fluctuated as he shifted from high-frequency posting to a “quality over quantity” model of one video per month.

Despite the 63,375 pounds total, Finzar pointed out that after UK taxes and business expenses, the amount is not enough to support a full team, which includes his brother and channel manager, Jack.

To build a sustainable business, the creator branched out into “Storezar,” a digital marketplace where he sells preset packs and editing courses. This diversification allows creators to remain independent of the volatile fluctuations in the YouTube algorithm.

Finzar currently commands a following of over 500,000 subscribers and has built a reputation as one of the most technically proficient editors in the creator space.

His channel history reflects a broader trend in the creator economy where educational “how-to” content serves as a lead generator for more stable business ventures.

By sharing his exact “pennies per view,” which averaged 0.0019 pounds per hit, he hopes to prepare the next generation of Indian and global creators for the financial complexities of the platform.
