Popular education creator and former management consultant Shristi Shreya Singh, known for her YouTube channel IIT-IIM Unfiltered, announced her resignation from a high-paying corporate role worth ₹35 lakh per annum to pursue an international professional opportunity.

Singh, who spent 18 months at Accenture Strategy & Consulting in Bengaluru, cited personal growth stagnation and a desire for new challenges as the primary reasons for her departure.

The move marks a significant transition for the creator, who had managed to balance a lucrative hybrid career with a rapidly growing social media presence. She creates educational videos around exam preparation guidance on CAT, JEE, SSC and other exams.

Shristi Shreya explained that she felt she had outgrown her role after working on Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) consulting with a specific focus on Generative AI.

While the position offered significant financial stability and a flexible work environment, she noted that her learning curve had flattened after working with major global brands. She emphasised that at this stage of her life, she prioritises professional evolution over the comfort of a familiar routine.

The creator also addressed the rise of her content creation career, which she began in 2025. She noted that managing her YouTube channel gave her a sense of ownership and entrepreneurial spirit that was missing in her corporate life.

Singh handled everything from ideation and shooting to community engagement and brand partnerships, which validated her interest in entrepreneurship.

Despite her success on social media, Singh clarified that she does not intend to become a full-time content creator. She expressed concern that monetising her channel as her primary source of income would compromise her creative integrity and the “unfiltered” nature of her content.

She views content creation as a creative outlet rather than a purely professional pursuit, preferring to keep her professional and personal identities distinct.

The next phase of her career involves moving abroad for a prestigious opportunity that she described as a major milestone for her family. While she did not disclose the specific details of the new role, she mentioned it is a fully sponsored position in one of the world’s top countries.

Her LinkedIn account indicates she is moving to the San Francisco Bay Area in the United States. She intends to continue her YouTube channel as a secondary project while focusing on this new international chapter.

Shristi Shreya Singh holds an engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna and a post-graduate degree (MBA) from XLRI Jamshedpur, one of India’s premier business schools.

Before her tenure at Accenture Strategy, which lasted for over a year, she worked at Procter & Gamble, a global consumer goods giant, as an Account Manager for one year.

Her channel, IIT-IIM Unfiltered, has become a popular resource for students and young professionals seeking advice on competitive exams and career growth.
