Veteran tech reviewer and lifestyle vlogger Prasad Vedpathak, the creator behind the prominent Ur IndianConsumer (UIC) brand, reported that several of his verified Instagram accounts have been abruptly suspended by Meta.
Vedpathak, who has spent over 10 years building a digital footprint across multiple niches, took to social media to issue an urgent appeal for assistance, stating that the sudden deactivation of his profiles has halted ongoing brand collaborations and disrupted his primary source of income.
The suspension affects a network of accounts linked to his personal and professional identity, including @urindianconsumer and @prasika_official, leaving the creator without a clear explanation for the enforcement action.
The creator expressed frustration over the lack of communication from the platform, noting that he has never knowingly violated community guidelines.
Vedpathak emphasized that the loss of these accounts represents the disappearance of a decade-long “legacy” and affects his entire family, who are integrated into his content creation business.
Among the deactivated handles are accounts dedicated to his lifestyle content, family vlogging, and his niche food reviews, which collectively reach a massive audience of Indian consumers.
The situation has created an immediate bottleneck for the creator’s business operations, as multiple pending deliverables for brand partners are now on hold.
Vedpathak noted that because these were verified accounts, profiles that have undergone a rigorous identity check by the platform, the sudden suspension was particularly unexpected.
He has requested an urgent review from the Meta and Instagram support teams to restore access and clarify if the action was a result of a technical error or a specific policy violation.
Prasad Vedpathak is a pioneer in the Indian YouTube space, having launched his main channel, Ur IndianConsumer, in 2014 to provide honest reviews on electronics and menswear.
Over the years, he expanded into family vlogging and lifestyle content, amassing more than 1 million subscribers on YouTube alone.
His digital ecosystem, often referred to as the UIC family, has long been a staple for aspiring creators in India looking to understand the mechanics of unboxing and consumer-centric storytelling.
