Yaman Agarwal CookingShooking YouTuber

Yaman Agarwal, the face behind CookingShooking, is not just another YouTube chef; he’s the man who turned everyday Indian home cooking into a nationwide movement. At just 26, he has built one of India’s most loved food channels with over 13 million subscribers and a staggering 1.9 billion views as of October 2025.

His cheerful tone, easy-to-follow recipes, and signature “you can do this too!” energy have made him a household name among home chefs, students, and food lovers alike. From crispy samosas to eggless cakes, his videos bring restaurant flavours into regular kitchens, minus the fuss.

But Yaman’s journey has not been all butter and sugar. His rise from a curious teenager to one of India’s biggest digital creators tells a story of passion, perseverance, and the courage to pause when the pressure becomes too much.

Born and raised in Hyderabad, Yaman discovered his love for food early. At just 12, inspired by his mother’s cooking and YouTube’s early food creators, he picked up a camera and began experimenting.

Two years later, he launched his channel, CookingShooking, with a simple sweet corn recipe. Viewers loved it. By the time he turned 16, his videos had already crossed three million views, and his style, fun, clear, and detailed, made Indian recipes feel modern and accessible.

His channel grew quickly because he didn’t just teach cooking, he explained the “why” behind it. Why does dough turn soft? What makes street-style noodles taste different? His curiosity made learning addictive.

Soon, CookingShooking became a family brand, with Yaman’s sister and mother often featuring in videos, giving viewers a sense of warmth and belonging that felt like home.

In October 2025, after months of silence, Yaman released a heartfelt comeback video explaining why he took a break from YouTube. The reason was one many creators quietly face: burnout. Years of multi-camera shoots, endless editing, and the pressure to top his last viral hit had drained his energy.

Between managing a new cloud kitchen business, studio changes, and family priorities (including his sister’s wedding), he found himself exhausted. So, he stepped away to breathe, learn, and reflect.

During this time, Yaman didn’t stop learning. He explored bulk cooking techniques, studied the business side of food, and refined his vision for what CookingShooking could be next. His comeback isn’t just about recipes, it’s about resilience and redefining balance in the high-speed world of digital creation.

Add to that multiple brand collaborations with top kitchenware companies, affiliate partnerships, and paid product placements on YouTube and Instagram, and it’s clear that CookingShooking is more than a passion; it’s an empire.

He’s also ventured beyond YouTube, investing in cloud kitchens to better understand how professional food businesses work. His Instagram audience, which has grown past half a million followers, brings in additional revenue through collaborations and lifestyle content.

Yet, for all his achievements, Yaman remains humble. In his latest videos, he speaks directly to his fans, thanking them for staying by his side. “CookingShooking started as a passion project,” he says, “and it still is. The goal was always simple—make cooking fun, easy, and full of heart.”

Yaman’s 2025 comeback promises a new era for CookingShooking. He plans to dive deeper into food experiments, long-form tutorials, and behind-the-scenes content that show the science, creativity, and hustle behind each dish. His videos will continue to blend humour with learning, keeping the charm that made viewers fall in love with him in the first place.

In an age when creators often chase trends, Yaman Agarwal stands out for keeping it real, showing that even in a digital career built on perfection, it’s okay to pause, reset, and return with more flavour than ever. His story reminds millions that food, like life, is best enjoyed when it’s made with patience, honesty, and a pinch of joy.
