Sagar Dodeja Exposes Shocking Death Trap Design In Mira Bhayandar flyover

Imagine cruising down a brand new highway at high speed, only for the road to suddenly vanish beneath your wheels. This is the terrifying reality civil engineering expert Sagar Dodeja is warning about in his latest viral takedown of the Mira Bhayandar flyover in Mumbai, India’s financial hub.

The Civil Beings founder has sparked a massive online debate by proving that a massive design flaw is forcing cars into a dangerous bottleneck that gives drivers almost no time to react.

Sagar Dodeja is not just any social media personality. As a former IES officer and a highly respected educator in the engineering space, his critique carries massive weight across the country.

In his viral video, he explains that the flyover creates a choke point where vehicles travelling at eighty kilometres per hour are suddenly forced to merge into half the space.

He compared the situation to four people walking hand in hand on a sidewalk that suddenly disappears, leaving everyone to crash into each other.

The influencer took to his social media profiles to ask where the engineers responsible for this design even came from. He pointed out that the divider starts exactly where the lane ends, leaving drivers with zero reaction time.

Dodeja noted that according to official engineering codes, there should be a proper tapering transition to allow cars to change lanes safely. Instead, he claims this flyover violates the basic purpose of a flyover, which is to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted flow of traffic.

Social media reactions have been swift and divided, with many locals thanking Dodeja for highlighting a danger they face daily in Mumbai.

One commenter noted that they had already seen several near misses at the exact spot mentioned in the video. Others are calling for an immediate audit of the project by the MMRDA.

The debate has sparked a wider conversation about the quality of infrastructure in India’s rapidly growing tech and business hubs.

Dodeja, who has built a massive following by simplifying complex engineering concepts for the masses, seems determined to hold authorities accountable. He argued that if space was an issue, the design should have still followed safety protocols like 1:40 tapering.

The professional yet breathless tone of his delivery has ensured the message reached beyond just the engineering community and into the mainstream public consciousness.

The Civil Beings founder concluded his viral alert by urging people to share the video with anyone who believes this project is a masterpiece of engineering. He maintains that the original ground-level road was actually safer than this new elevated structure.

As the video continues to rack up thousands of views, the pressure is mounting on local authorities to address these serious safety concerns before a major tragedy occurs on the busy Mumbai stretch.
