The Viral Fever (TVF), the studio behind hit series such as Panchayat and Kota Factory, has partnered with Insty to launch a new educational institution dedicated to content creation, storytelling, and brand management.
Described as a premium selective postgraduate institution, the partnership aims to prepare students for lucrative careers in the emerging creator economy, a field the founders argue traditional colleges are failing to address.
Operating out of a premium urban campus in Mumbai, the institute will begin its first cohort this August with two flagship 18-month programs.
The “Built with TVF” initiative offers two distinct tracks: a creative pathway focused on filmmaking and storytelling, and a management pathway centred on brand management and content marketing.
Both programs follow a structured 18-month timeline consisting of 12 months of intensive offline classroom learning in Mumbai, followed by a six-month mandatory industry internship.
Students in the creative track are promised direct access to industry-ready projects, including opportunities to participate in live shoots for major shows or write series that could be released on platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime.
The curriculum is designed around a “Learn By Doing” philosophy, where students work on real brand briefs and solve actual industry problems.
In the creative track, participants study foundations of storytelling, advanced production, and the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in content creation.
The management track prepares students for roles such as Brand Manager and Growth Manager, focusing on the science of marketing, consumer behaviour, and performance budgets.

Industry veterans and TVF leaders will serve as faculty to provide mentorship and professional guidance.
Key mentors include TVF President Vijay Koshy, award-winning actor and director Gajraj Rao, and directors Raghav Subbu and Deepak Kumar Mishra.
The partnership leverages TVF’s established reputation in “internet-first storytelling” to provide students with a “built-in” industry network, which includes standard-setting creators and executive producers from the studio’s official slate of 56 titles.
Admission to the Mumbai cohort is highly selective and based on a three-round process: an online aptitude test, a structured thinking assignment, and a personal interview with the admissions team.
The program fee is set at ₹18,00,000, though the institute offers scholarships of up to 90% based on a merit-cum-means model to ensure talented creators can access the training.
Graduates are expected to leave with an industry-ready portfolio and connections to top media houses, aiming for high-potential roles like Showrunners or Creative Producers, where top-tier salaries can reach significant figures.
