Phir Se Udd Chala Finance Web Series by Zero1 and Dice Media

Zero1, a financial education initiative by the prominent Indian stockbroking platform Zerodha, has partnered with leading digital content studio Dice Media to release its first-ever web series titled Phir Se Udd Chala.

The series is scheduled to premiere on January 23 on Zero1 Hindi by Zerodha YouTube channel and aims to provide a relatable look into the high-stakes world of money, risk, and real-life struggles.

By blending entertainment with financial literacy, the production seeks to educate young Indian viewers about the complexities of wealth creation and the psychological toll of economic instability.

The trailer introduces Ajay, a young professional grappling with stagnant wages and the rising cost of living in a competitive market. Faced with a meager 3% increment and news of widespread layoffs, Ajay turns to the stock market as a potential escape from his financial struggles.

His journey is complicated by the conflicting advice of a charismatic finance guru, Sudarshan Shetty, and the cautious warnings of family members who believe the share market is a rigged system.

The narrative highlights the concept of financial independence, which is the state of having sufficient personal wealth to live without having to work actively for basic necessities.

It also touches upon the volatility of the stock market, which refers to the rate at which the price of a security increases or decreases for a given set of returns.

Through Ajay’s eyes, the series explores the tension between long-term disciplined investing and the lure of quick profits.

Dice Media, the premium content division of Pocket Aces, is well-known in the Indian creator economy for producing hit digital series such as Little Things and What The Folks.

Their collaboration with Zero1 by Zerodha marks a strategic move to gamify financial education for a demographic that increasingly consumes information through long-form video content.

Zero1 by Zerodha is a media partnership between LearnApp and Zerodha, aimed at creating high-quality financial content to bridge the gap between complex financial systems and the everyday Indian consumer.

It utilises high-production storytelling and creator-led content to demystify investing, personal finance, and the economy for the next generation. By leveraging the reach of the creator economy, Zero1 aims to transform financial literacy from a dry, academic subject into an engaging cultural conversation that empowers viewers to take control of their financial futures.

Zero1 Hindi by Zerodha is its secondary channel serving as a dedicated channel for Hindi-speaking audiences, focusing on simplifying complex economic concepts for lakhs of aspiring retail investors across India. The web series will premiere on this channel for free.
