Pratima Adhikari’s story is the kind that gives hope to dreamers everywhere. She began her journey as a marketing intern and is now the CEO of GadgetByte Nepal, the country’s most trusted gadget review channel.

Along the way, she has inspired thousands of tech lovers, content creators, and young professionals across South Asia.

Born in Baneshwor, Kathmandu, Pratima grew up shy but curious, with a natural fascination for electronics. After completing her BBA at Kathmandu University School of Management, she entered the workforce as a marketing manager at Chitooo before finding her true calling at GadgetByte Nepal.

There, she started as a reviewer, presenter, and content writer, bringing a fresh voice to the platform. Her honesty and consumer-first approach quickly struck a chord with Nepalese youth eager for reliable gadget reviews.

Pratima’s rise was steady but relentless. Starting as an intern, she distinguished herself with detailed and unbiased video reviews, covering everything from smartphones and laptops to the latest emerging technologies.

Her strengths included explaining technical specifications with clarity, suggesting smart buying guides, and comparing popular models in ways that made sense for everyday users.

These qualities earned her promotions to Editor-in-Chief and later CEO, where she now oversees both the creative and business sides of GadgetByte.

GadgetByte Nepal stands as Nepal’s most influential tech review channel, created to demystify gadgets and empower people to make smarter tech choices.

Founded by Yural Maskey, an Electronics and Communication Engineer from Kathmandu University, GadgetByte started in June 2013 with a mission: deliver clear, locally relevant gadget news and reviews for Nepali buyers.

Maskey’s leadership built it into a trusted multisource platform, covering smartphones, laptops, and tech trends through blogs, videos, and hands-on guides.

Today, she manages a team of reviewers, writers, and videographers powering GadgetByte’s website and YouTube channel, which boasts 758k+ subscribers.

Since its launch in 2018, GadgetByte has become Nepal’s biggest tech portal thanks to its mix of unbiased gadget reviews, buyer’s guides tailored for local users, and practical tips, tech news, and trends.

Pratima’s approachable style and practical recommendations have made many of her videos like “My Pick for the Best Budget Laptops” and “Samsung Galaxy A80 Review”, go viral, racking up millions of views.

Pratima is more than a CEO; she’s a mentor, a role model, and a changemaker. Her leadership is marked by empathy and a strong focus on community building.

She organises tech workshops and events across Nepal, advocates digital literacy for young audiences, mentors new creators and shares career tips online, and actively encourages women to enter tech and leadership roles.

She frequently appears on podcasts and social media to share behind-the-scenes stories, leadership lessons, and practical advice for aspiring professionals.

Pratima Adhikari’s rise from intern to CEO is proof that passion, consistency, and empathy can change careers and industries. In a region where global tech reviewers often dominate, she has built a local digital empire trusted by millions.

Her journey inspires young people in Nepal and beyond, especially women in tech, proving that leadership doesn’t require shortcuts, just dedication, curiosity, and the courage to take on new challenges.
