Purav Jha is facing a massive wave of online hate after new skit

Digital creator and actor Purav Jha has found himself at the centre of a massive social media storm after his latest video titled ‘All Izz Hell’ went viral for all the wrong reasons.

The entertainer, known for his comedic sketches, is currently facing a relentless wave of trolling from users who have labelled him anti-national following his satirical take on pressing social issues.

The controversy erupted shortly after the video, which parodies the iconic 3 Idiots character Chatur, began trending across major platforms.

In the ten-minute video, Purav tackles heavy subjects including rising pollution levels, government corruption, and the current state of journalism in India.

Using his signature comic style, he portrays a scenario where a minister and a journalist interact, making pointed jabs at how certain voices are silenced or branded as traitors for asking questions.

One of the most talked-about moments involves a satirical song where he refers to news channels as clowns, a move that has clearly rubbed some viewers the wrong way.

The backlash quickly escalated as critics began digging through Purav’s digital history to fuel the fire. Social media detectives unearthed a year-old video featuring a map of India that was allegedly incorrect, alongside old tweets discussing the idea that terrorism has no religion.

These past actions are being used by an organized ecosystem of trolls to paint the creator as a threat to national sentiment, despite Purav’s claims that the map error was a technical glitch corrected within hours of its original posting.

Purav took to Instagram to share his side of the story, looking visibly stressed but firm in his stance. He expressed his gratitude for the millions of views the video has garnered, but admitted that some people are trying to take the content in a very dark direction.

He stated that his intention was never to target a specific political party but to highlight the basic systemic issues like clean air, water, and food that affect every citizen regardless of their political leanings.

The influencer’s response was a mix of apology and defiance, as he noted that his ego isn’t so big that he wouldn’t say sorry if he truly hurt someone, but he urged fans not to let the message be lost in the noise.

He spoke about the racism he faces while travelling abroad in places like London and Dubai, where India is often mocked for its pollution levels. He argued that criticising the system is an act of love for the country, aimed at making it better for future generations rather than sparking a war or revolution.

As the debate rages on, the video continues to pull in massive numbers, crossing the nine million view mark in just a few days.

While a section of the internet is calling for a boycott, others are coming to his defence, praising him for showing a backbone in an era where many celebrities remain silent on public issues.

The drama highlights the increasingly thin line between satire and controversy in the digital age, where a single comedic sketch can lead to a full-blown national conversation.
